The eagle-eyed amongst you will have noticed a few subtle changes to the blog.

I’ve added a MailPress plugin

Also a few CSS changes, most of which came after a software update.

Excuse my (and possibly others?)ignorance, John but what is a “MailPress plugin”.

Does it mean that we will be alerted at our email a/d’s when new posts appear on the Scargill movement website? I hope it does and if not can you organise it for us please.

    “CSS changes” too?

The plugin lets you subscribe to the site to receive an newsletter by email of sorts containing any new posts/comments.

You could specify whether you wasnt the newsletter sent out daily/weekly or monthly.

The CSS changes are minor but basically to shift the left column over to the right and add a few background boxes..

The tagline has been added under the title as well.

I’ll be glad to receive the daily/weekly/monthly Newsletter John if you will organise it for me.

Can you arrange for me (and any others who want it) to receive new posts &/or post alerts at my email address too please as per my query above?

You do it yourself by filling in your email address on the MailPress widget and clicking ‘Subscribe’. The widget is next to the bottom of the inner-right column.

You’ll get a confirmation email with a link to the subscription webpage where you just click against daily/weekly/monthly (or all three..).

There is an option to receive an email after each post has been submitted but I’ve not enabled that at the moment.

Just noticed a ‘buggette’ in the way Internet Explorer handles the website. The widget title for the MailPress plugin doesn’t actually show up – why not I dunno, but it shows up OK with Firefox. None of the other widgets are affected, just the one for MailPress.

    left: IE8 / right Firefox

This might be just my system which isn’t a ‘real’ Windows installation, as I’m running Vista as a virtual PC inside VirtualBox on a Linux system.

I suspect that its another way that IE ignores internet standards.
