I am thinking of those of you who take part in the
Advent service at Scargill today and wishing I could
be there sharing it with you.
One way of looking at Advent is as a big eternal
adventure begun with Jesus 2000 years ago , with “no
room in the inn” for him at Bethlehem …and heading for
heaven – the eventual home for everyone.
Praise God that for many of us Scargill House can
continue to be, albeit a ”temporary” one in the eternal
scale of things, nevertheless for the present a heavenly
home on earth where God’s love is shared and radiates
out from bringing blessings to all it touches.
His Name shall be there.
