Good to hear

I was there too for the Jubilee on the 20th, would love to have more on the Blog from those who could make it on the day for the 50th anniversary.

The actual anniversary date was this weekend – 27th, I was on the top of Mount Snowdon (in cloud, wet, no view) with  a group of teenagers, and thought of Scargill. I hope to take them there one day soon!

Lucky you, writer, to be there for the Jubilee :-)

I would echo your sentiments re more blogs from those who were able to get to the 50th Anniversarey.

I would go further than that and say I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE MORE ON THE BLOG from ANYONE AND EVERYONE!

I know the feeling too to be on the Summit of Snowdon in cloud and wet with no view (The summit now being complete with its new state-of-the-art cafe, after Prince Charles calling the old one “The highest slum in England and Wales”). We make a pilgrimage every summer on foot or by train to the very spot and whatever the weather my thoughts too always turn God-ward with Scargill never far behind. This year we might be a bit distracted though by the aforesaid newly constructed controversial edifice in the clouds.

Do reply to this, writer, or anyone reading this and let’s get the Scargill blogging ball rolling properly.

Just looking around on three groups on facebook related to Scargill, there are over 130 people there. Apart from a handfull those groups aren’t very active either. The existence of the Blog needs to be pushed out on the Internet rather than just sitting here waiting for people to find us.

Last year the Church Times blog really stirred up a hornets nest, perhaps that would be a place to start.
