Betty Completes Her Coast to Coast Sponsored Walk |
Betty Barker, one of Scargill's wonderful volunteers, completed her sponsored walk in aid of Scargill at the beginning of the Summer. Betty walked the first section of the Coast to Coast walk conquering 70 miles of the challenging walk. We are so grateful to Betty for all her hard work and congratulate her on this achievement. Many of you kindly sponsored Betty in this challenge and we would now like to be able to collect in the sponsorship money. If you sponsored Betty, please would you send you sponsorship money to her, or to Scargill House. If you are thinking of doing a fundraising event for Scargill please let us know, we may be able to help out and we would love to know what is happening. We may even be able to get your picture on the website. If you would live to have any advice on fundraising or to let us know something which you are planning please contact Penny Cannon at

I'm sure there will be more on the event in due course, but I take this opportunity to say a huge 'thank you' to everyone who was at Scargill on Sunday 7th of February for that very special service, as we welcomed Phil and Di ‘officially’ into their new life, roles and responsibilities. |
