Directions
By car from Skipton (allow about 35 minutes)
- There are two roundabouts on the Skipton bypass (A65). From the more easterly one, take the
B6265 signposted to Grassington.
- At Threshfield (approx 10 miles), do not turn off to Grassington village but stay on the B-road
(which becomes the B6160 at this point), passing Threshfield Garage on the left.
- At Kilnsey (beyond the overhanging crag) bear right towards Kettlewell on the B6160 -ignore the
minor road straight on.
- In Kettlewell, cross the first bridge over the river, pass a garage on your left, then take the next
right just before the second bridge. There is a small white signpost pointing to Scargill House. At
the maypole, bear right down a single-track road (please take care as this is very narrow and there
are often oncoming vehicles, animals and walkers).
- Scargill is 1 mile further along on the left hand side. Look out for a large pair of gates with a cattle
grid. The car park is at the top of the drive on the left (please do not park outside reception unless
you are dropping off a disabled passenger).
